DEVELOPING A BEST PRACTICE STAFFING SYSTEM
(Please read Ms. Evelyn E L Ch'ng PJK., JP. profile)
Few areas have more immediate and lasting impact on organizations than recruiting and selecting employees. One of the cold, hard facts of doing business is that if you don't get the right people in the right jobs, you won't accomplish your organizational goals and objectives. And as the world rapidly shifts to a knowledge- and experience-based economy, stocking your company with talented, creative people who can think on their feet and adapt to rapidly changing markets becomes more critical than ever.
The key to hiring effectively, say recruitment experts, is to have a recruitment system that provides a template, a model and a process for those who recruit, screen, interview and hire new employees.
When properly designed and implemented, a recruitment system leads people through the hiring process from start to finish, telling them what steps to take, what order to take them in and what needs to be accomplished with each step. More importantly, it takes much of the risk and uncertainty out of the process by providing a standard approach that ensures that everyone in the company hires in a consistent manner.
Having an effective system won't guarantee success every time. However it will dramatically increase your odds of getting the right person in the job with each new hire. Without a staffing system, you might as well roll the dice and take your chances.

MONEY MANAGEMENT FOR WOMEN
MONEY MANAGEMENT FOR WOMEN – Owning the Power to Control Your Own Destiny
(Please read Ms. Evelyn E L Ch'ng PJK., JP. profile)
Why is it that women, who are so competent in all other areas of their lives, cannot find the same competence when it comes to matters of money?
Women today make up nearly half of the total workforce in the world with many of them bringing in half or more of the income in a majority of household. In some instances, women own highly successful businesses. Yet, women tend to have dysfunctional relationships with money and undervalue themselves or “treat themselves as a commodity whose price is set by others.”
This workshop equips women with the financial knowledge and emotional awareness to overcome the blocks that have kept them from benefiting more out of the money they make. It enables every woman to have a sense of who she is and what she deserves, and why it all begins with the decision to “save” yourself.
The workshop will provide you with a guide for "saving yourself plan" for financial repair, starting with setting aside banking accounts, fixing one's credit rating, saving for retirement, setting up a will and purchasing home insurance. This workshop will act as an effective guide for women who are foundering financially.
IN THIS ONE-DAY WORKSHOP, YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT:
Changing Mindset – Rewrite the Story History Has Handed You
You are Not on Sale
The 8 Qualities of a Wealthy Woman
The Save Yourself Plan
Beyond the Plan: Knowledge = Power = Control
A Commitment to Yourself
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This workshop is intended for all women who desire to be a ‘Master of their own destiny’.
WORKSHOP METHODOLOGY
The workshop is delivered by way of slide presentation, exercises, individual action plans followed by a Q&A session.

VALUE OF COMPETENCY-BASED LEADERSHIP CAPABILITY ASSESSMENT
(Read Profile - Ms Evelyn E L Ch'ng, PJK.,JP)
The CARP competency-based leadership capability profile tool illustrates and explains the way a person prefers to think, learn, communicate and make decisions. As the individual interacts with the world at large, different environment affects his/her behavior. We are of the view that a person’s work behavior is a function of both his/her personality and the environment the individual operations in. This is represented below with a general formula.
B = f (P, S)
where - BEHAVIOR = f (Personality x Situation)
We can predict behavior when we know BOTH the elements.
Understanding an individual’s personal thinking preferences will enable the person to optimize his/her ability to adapt the thinking, decision-making or communication styles to any given situations. It also explains why it is easier to communicate with some people than it is with others. The profile will also cast light on why some elements of the individual’s ability to perform or work seem effortless and more satisfying whilst other aspects frustrate the person.
The profile is NOT a test. There are no right or wrong answers and no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ profiles. The tool does not measure intelligence or skills. A low score in a given area does not indicate inability to perform – frequently people are able to perform when the environment is conducive to performance or when extra efforts are made. The profile provides an individual with a better understanding of his/her personal potential and areas for improvement to enhance performance.
For ORGANIZATION, the tool can be used for:
• Recruitment Assessment & Candidate Selection
• Employee Development & Career Coaching
• Team Building
• Increase Productivity & Improving Management Effectiveness
• Conflict Management
• Promotion Assessment
• Organization Restructure & Redeployment
• Target Problem Resolution
For the INDIVIDUAL, the tool is useful for:
• Managing Self
• Managing Others
• Managing the Business
IN THIS ONE-DAY WORKSHOP, YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT:
An Overview of Competency Profile
Use of Competency Profile
